Tonza Muesa Cunningham

Tonza Cunningham serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Center for Community Alternatives. She previously served as the Manager of Human Resources for the New York City office. Prior to joining CCA, Ms. Cunningham was part of the Human Resources departments of Safe Horizon and The Brooklyn Public Library System. She has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, including overseeing and supporting Human Resource related duties. Her current duties include directing Human Resource practices and processes, recruiting high-quality staff, updating employee records, advising on employee issues, benefits management and timekeeping, managing CCA’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), and ensuring compliance with employment law.

Ms. Cunningham holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Marketing from Long Island University and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Human Resources Professional Association of Nonprofit Organizations (HRPANO).

Ms. Cunningham is passionate about CCA's mission and embodies that mission by continuously being of service to others.
