CCA provides free legal services in Syracuse and Rochester to help minimize the perpetual punishment that follows involvement with the criminal legal system, and advocates with clients against unlawful employmentdiscrimination on the basis of their record.  

Our team of attorneys and advocates work with community members to obtain, review and correct criminal conviction records; determine eligibility for available relief under NYS law, such as Certificates of Rehabilitation or sealing, and assist in applying for that relief; advocate to administrative licensing agencies to obtain clearance to work; prepare for interviews and understand their legal rights and obligations while searching for employment.

Reentry Advocacy’s services are designed to reduce or remove barriers created by the mere existence of a criminal record. This allows our clients to seek work, housing, and higher education with an accurate understanding of their own record, and the rights and responsibilities they have regarding disclosure.
