Crossroads
Program Location: New York City
Eligibility: Adults with substance use disorder
Description:
Crossroads to Recovery is CCA’s OASAS-licensed outpatient substance use treatment program, which serves individuals impacted by the criminal legal system in New York City. Crossroads helps individuals suffering from alcohol and drug addiction by offering counseling, individualized treatment plans, and referrals to community-based services—including housing and mental health services—with the objective of helping them reach their own goals for treatment with CCA’s support. Our holistic approach helps participants understand their addiction and teaches coping skills to prevent relapse. The program helps participants to express their feelings clearly and constructively and to improve family relations. Specialized gender specific treatment groups focus on an array of topics, including domestic violence, trauma, addiction, healthy relationships, health and wellness, independent living, anger management, drug and alcohol education, and relapse prevention.
Our treatment interventions are trauma-informed, gender specific, client-centered, and utilize evidence-based practices. We offer a wide range of comprehensive and holistic services, including individual and group counseling, mental health counseling, cognitive behavioral interventions, employment services, drug testing, health education, HIV and HEP C testing, court advocacy services as well as medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
CCA provides FDA-approved medications for the maintenance treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD), including buprenorphine and naloxone products (viz., sublingual tablets/film, buccal film and injectable naltrexone). Our MAT services are offered in combination with comprehensive OUD psychosocial services, including all services available through Crossroads to Recovery– screening/assessment, individual and group counseling, evidence-based behavioral therapies, recovery supports and other wraparound services. Based on the individual’s intake assessment (and interest), participants are offered treatment service options and levels that are responsive to their needs. CCA’s staff physician – along with a team of counselors, mental health specialists, employment specialists, and program coordinators – are well-equipped to assist individuals who may benefit from medication-assisted treatment and outpatient services.
Crossroads to Recovery Opioid Treatment services is the recipient of a three-year international accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This achievement distinguishes CCA’s opioid treatment service delivery from other service providers, demonstrating our commitment to continuously improve services and manage risk. Due to CCA’s knowledge and experience supporting people affected by the criminal legal system, our opioid treatment program also received a Criminal Justice designation from CARF, effective February 28, 2024.
