In May 2016, the Alternatives to Incarceration (ATI) and Reentry Coalition published a Blueprint for Criminal Justice Reform in New York City. This comprehensive plan suggests improvements for New York City’s criminal justice system, including diverting of individuals from incarceration as early and often as possible, and assisting those who have been incarcerated or under community supervision to succeed in reentering their communities.
