Crossroads Connections (NYC)

The Crossroads Connections Program is one of CCA’s newest programs funded in 2008 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.  Crossroads Connections is a pre-treatment program that introduces treatment to individuals who have substance abuse issues, but who are not yet ready for full and comprehensive treatment.

The goal of the program is to get men and women ready for treatment. The program is located in our Brooklyn office. To be eligible, all individuals seeking services need to have a criminal justice history, be on parole, probation or have an open court case.

Pre-treatment services will be offered at the time of enrollment.  Individuals who enroll will be exposed to groups and individual sessions designed to help them overcome denial and resistance to change.  It is anticipated that behavioral change addressing their substance abuse issues will result in a decision to choose formal substance abuse treatment.
